I just put the finishing touches on this design this afternoon. I did this as a companion design to go with my Unicorn Enchantress wall hanging.
I plan on sending this one to my grandson for Christmas. Granddaughter gets the unicorn.

I did this one in black size 10 thread with my 7/1.65mm hook. It measures 28 inches across and is 35 inches tall not including the hanger.

Haven't figured out just the right name for this one yet. So if you have any suggestions I am open.

Do you think he will like it?

I did choose a name Proud Dragon and pattern is now available on both my website and in my Etsy shop.

Gorgeous, Kathy but we've grown to expect this incredible art from you! I remember your telling us you were going to design a dragon wallhanging. Now you're obligated (to us!) to continue designing mythical creatures!

As far as naming this piece, believe it or not, there is a website with the names of famous dragons: http://www.dragonorama.com/famous/index.html. You'll never run out of names again! Name it after your grandson by picking a name that starts with the first letter of his name!

Yes it is filet, One of my favorite forms of crochet.

I really, really really would love to learn filet crocheting. I brought a book from Annie's Attic called "Big Book of Filet Croche" but it wasn't for a beginner like me. How did you get started in filet crochet??? Can you tell me a good beginner filet crochet book for a beginner. Hugs and Blessings

Well after much agonizing. I finally chose a name for this piece. I decided to call it Proud Dragon.
Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. You made this difficult to choose. I did want dragon in the name though so that did limit my choices.

I also wanted to let anyone who was interested know that I have added this design to my patterns on my website and in my Etsy shop. Along with the Unicorn Enchantress.
