Special Scarf

I was thinking the other day that I could make a normal scarf with a wider section in the middle, to be able to put it over your head like a hood, but then be able to wrap the ends around, still, as a scarf. I think I could do this on my own, but I thought I'd see if anyone knew of any (free, please) patterns for something like this?? :think
