Has anyone come across a crochet version of the Hallowig, or would care to help me figure one out?

This has been asked at least once before:

I'd do like one poster said, just make a rectangle and add bangs.

I think it would be easy to make in one piece......you can make a rectangle as Empress Busy Bee has suggested by useing the ripple stitch.......sc for as long as you want the hair to be (from the center of your head to your shoulders say) and then on the second row sc across again, but only in the back loop of each stitch. Continue in this way making the ripply effect for the hair. When you have made it long enough to fit around the head (leaving the place that you want to make the bangs). Now, work for only 15 stitches or so (depending on how long you want the bangs to be). Sew the side of your Bangs part to the starting row side, and gather the top tightly. The ripple stitch STRETCHES a lot, so make it with a small hook and in tight stitches to keep the effect of hair. I have not TRIED this, but it seems to me that it would work!
