I started making my 9 month old godson a santa hat today and thought it would be fun to make him a while santa suite. Found this and I could kick myself because if I had seen this a few months ago would have ordered it.

Does anyone know of a free sweater pattern like this for a beginner? I just want an open sweater like that to work up in red heart WW and maybe some white red heart baby clouds for the trim.

I had saved this pattern but don't quite like it as well as one that's open down the front.

Bootie patterns I have and I know I saved a very easy pattern for baby pants I could do in red. Mary

How about this one. You could use a bigger hook. Doing a sweater like this one is quick and easy.

I don't think this would work for the Santa suit but thought you might like it to make for your godson:

There are several more at CPC:

The ones with hoods, just leave off the hoods if you want.

Honestly if you go to the crochet along for the Baby It's Cold, you'll see it's done in all different sizes and styles. Several made it into a pullover and I believe a few made it in front button.
