I know I saw this some place, but I can't find it now. I found some old cards today. And I thought I could do something with them. I remember a pattern I saw were you use card and crocheted around them. But I can't find the pattern now.
I know you all will find it faster then me.

Thanks

I know the exact pattern you're talking about. Now lets see if I can find it.

I didn't find the exact pattern I remembered but I found one similar to it. Go to crochet pattern central. Click on Christmas. Click on ornaments. Click on christmas card ornament.

I also have a pattern copied from somewhere in that you crochet parts of cards together to make a box with lid. It's really neat, and I'm going to make it after I receive all my christmas cards this year, for my penpal and I's annual ornament box that we send back and forth each year....maybe. I don't remember where I found it, as I copied it to Word, and I don't know if I'd be allowed to post it here or not. If I am, I'll post it for you, but I could probably PM it to you also.

when I did mine a couple of years ago I just found a nice edging pattern and used it. I picked one that was on a round fabric doily because I knew that would shape round nicely

I made some of those last year and put a tassel on the bottom and have them hanging in my lighted garland in the front window. They turned out pretty. I just printed out some christmas art from my print master program and used them and added glitter to spots.

This pattern from JPFun (http://www.jpfun.com/patterns/free/christmas/f115002hexagonbox.shtml) is cute and functional. It's to make a box out of used Christmas cards, birthday, Easter, etc. It's called Hexagon Lidded Christmas Card Box (http://www.jpfun.com/patterns/free/christmas/f115002hexagonbox.shtml) It's a free pattern.
