View Full Version : My First "Doily with a twist"

I think I've found a new favorite designer! I've known of her for quite sometime, Patricia Kristoffersen, but didn't take notice of her doily designs until I came upon her newest book Doilies With A Twist (http://www.pkcrochet.com/twist.html). I started off with the doily called Irene in the book. I've got to play with the spirals a bit to get them to be uniform and look right. I'm already working on my second doily from the book.

That is gorgeous! :manyheart I love Patricia K designs. I e-mailed her once to compliment her on her designs and to ask her about blocking and she is so nice!

Lori I've been so tempted to buy that book. I'm not sure I'm quite up to it yet but I think I should get it and give them a shot. Yours is absolutely gorgeous!! :clap

Lori, you do such beautiful work! I wouldn't have even attempted that doily. Patricia is one of my favorite designers too though. Her doilies are so innovative and delicate. She's a talented woman, as are you!!!!

I like PK's designs a lot. And if that one is called Irene, I might have to pick that book up and make that doily for my MiL...

lori, you did a beautiful job on that doily, maybe you should send dr. phil a picture of it cause he seems to think that we crocheters are a bunch of old ladys doing afghans and doilies, yours is far from ordinary, and you look pretty young to me(pretty too!!!:lol ) you did a great job:hug :hug the doily is so awesome, who is the lucky person who gets it, or are you keeping it for yourself:D :D :D i would:devil :devil vicki

The doily is going out as an RAOK to someone, so I can't say who she is as it will spoil the surprise. :devil
