Well here's the first pattern that I've taken the time to write up:

I've got it for sale on my blog: http://hookandi.blogspot.com/2005/04/bib-pattern.html

I've used a stitch combination--sc, dc, sc, dc, etc. very simple--but makes a pretty pattern minimizing holes so it absorbs well as a bib. What I'd like to know, is there a name for this stitch combination? If you've heard of one--let me know I'd like to revise the pattern to include the name.

I have seen it referred to as the moss stitch.

Griddle Stitch or Crumpled griddle stitch - according to Donna Kooler's Encyclopedia of Crochet.

In Griddle stitch sc is placed in dc and vice versa,
in Crumpled Griddle stitch sc goes in sc and dc in dc.

(I learnt something today:) )
