View Full Version : New! 30 + 30 = Villager

It's now a little easier to become a Villager! We have decided to relax the requirements to 30+30, which is not only easier to achieve, it's easier to remember, too! That's 30 posts + 30 days, which means you've made 30 posts on the forum and have been registered at Crochetville for 30 days. [This replaces the old 40 posts + 60 days.]

Becoming a Villager means that you get the title of Villager under your user name and you can access and participate in these forums: Crochetville Swaps (http://crochetville.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=18), Secret Pal Swap (http://crochetville.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=147), The Wishing Well (http://crochetville.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=20), and For Sale, Trade, or Free (http://crochetville.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=48). And you will be able to start new threads in Crochet for Charity (http://crochetville.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=14) (including Comfortghans (http://crochetville.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=102)). (Note: New Neighbors and Junior Villagers can read and reply in the charity forum, but you must be a Villager to start a new thread.)

We decided to change to 30+30 because we think it will work equally well for it's intended purpose. Amy (http://crochetville.org/forum/member.php?u=102) and I are always thinking of and working on ways to improve your experience as an individual here at Crochetville. We have to balance this with protecting the best interests of all our members as a whole. This can sometimes be a difficult balance to achieve, and that's why occasional changes are made. Amy and I are working to bring you the very best Crochetville ever!

The purpose of having the 30+30 requirement to become a Villager is twofold. First, it gives you time to get to know Crochetville and become familiar with how things work here before you participate in swaps and the like. Second, it gives us time to get to know you a little better before we exchange personal information.

We also have adjusted the New Neighbor and Junior Villager levels accordingly, so now our membership levels are: New Neighbor [0-9 posts], Junior Villager [10-29 posts], and Villager [30+ posts and registered for 30+ days].

Thank you for doing that. All of us "newbies" really appreciate it. It's no fun feeling like an outsider, but I completley understand the need for it.
Thank's again,

I never heard when I was here before about the ways to become a Villiager. I cnanot wait. I pray I can get my 30+30 without AOL problems and this list. I was told they do not go well together.

Can someone tell me what rights will I have as a villiager?

Will somoene also tell me how do I find the answeres to these questions?

I'm afraid I do not know my way around.

I pray I can get my 30+30 without AOL problems and this list. I was told they do not go well together. If you check the Remember Me box when you log in, you will probably be fine with AOL. There can be some glitches with certain versions of AOL, so if you do experience any problems, contact us (http://crochetville.org/forum/sendmessage.php) and we'll try to figure it out.

Can someone tell me what rights will I have as a villiager? See the post Crochetville Membership Levels (http://crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=40977).

Will somoene also tell me how do I find the answeres to these questions?

I'm afraid I do not know my way around. You can find the answers to a lot of questions in the following forums: Crochetville FAQs and How Tos (http://crochetville.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=8) and Crochetville Forum Guidelines/Rules (http://crochetville.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6). Please forgive our mess, these two areas are kind of crammed full of info right now, and they're slated for clean up and reorganization very, very soon. If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to contact us (http://crochetville.org/forum/sendmessage.php)!

Can we not post pictures until we become a Villager? I ask because I was doing the Q&A thingy last night about tattoos. I was going to post pictures of mine, but I got a message that I didn't have access to that forum. I know I have access to it because I had already answered some questions!

That does sound easier. Well I have 29 more days, and a lot more posts until I can be a villager as well.

Better get reading and posting, lol.

I'm still a Jr Villager and I can post pics. Must have just been a quirk. I'd say try again.
