Here is a shawl that I had started on friday night and finished it last night..
The pattern is actually a doily, but I used it for a shawl. I had done this about 10 yrs ago as well for a neighbor at the time..

Thanks everyone..
I had used Red Heart Giant in the baby pink.. And a N hook
it measures 70 inches across the top and 48 inches down the middle to the point of the last row of pineapples...
I would say its more for a size 2X..
I had done this one before years and years ago using a H hook it was alot smaller.
I think the next one will be done with J or K hook instead..
I omitted the picot edge that is the last round..

This is the pattern that I used http://www.angelfire.com/folk/celtwich/PineFan.html

I did not add the picot edge to it.. Other wise I followed the instructions as is..I will tell you part of these instructions are messed up.. I already had them from my great grandmother, but had come across this when someone had asked for the pattern..

What was messed up with pattern?

I will have to look back and see where later in the part of the pattern a one part is.. but at the begining on row 1 its suppose to be ch3, 16 dc in ring, ch 3 turn
round 2 is dc in next 15 dc
round 3 should be a total of 34 dc counting the turning ch

You are really fast!!

Beautiful work:)
It really does work up fast, I started one earlier this afternoon and just finished Row 21. That was between chatting, watching DVDs and cooking dinner.

I'm making this one for my mom for Mother's Day, she'll get it when she and dad come down later this month. I'm using the yarn I frogged from a cardigan, it's 55% ramie/45% acrylic and extremely soft. The pattern looks really good in this color, a soft peach. Mom loves the pineapple pattern so she should like this. I think I'll make me one too, later anyway.

I'm using a K hook and it looks like it'll be big enough for her when it's done. I'll post pics when it's finished, don't know how much time I'll have to work on it tomorrow, may be Monday or Tuesday before I actually finish.

Anyway, I thought you should know this pattern works up very fast if anyone else wants to try it.
