I started making these for Smokey, Scott's kitty his grandma left us. Now I make them for Project Hope where Grandma adopted Smokey and I adopted Angel.
Use about 8-10oz of WW yarn- tiny scraps or magic balls work just as well for this snuggle as a spare skein of yarn.... Be careful not to crochet too tightly or your snuggle will be stiff instead of soft and flexible, but you don't want many holes from crocheting too loose either!
Size H hook.
ch 70 (or an even #- 70 makes about a 22 or 24" wide blankie for a large kitty or sm-med doggie),
sk 1ch, sc in next ch, sk next ch, 5dc in next ch across. Ch 2, turn,
5dc in sc, sc in 3rd dc of next 5dc group, sk next ch, repeat across.
Work for 40 rows.
Row 41: dc in each stitch across.
Picture to come ASAP!!
