Malagaiter

I saw malagaiters over at Ravelry. I'd never heard of them before but they look like something handy to make. All the patterns over there are knit. Are there any patterns to crochet them?

A Malagaiter is a hat that goes from a hat to a neck warmer. It ties on top then you untie it to scrunch it down around your neck. There is a pattern for a crocheted one but I can't remember who designed it. I think it was a member here.

I saw one at a craft show this holiday season but it was ribbed,, very cute,,, everyone was trying it on,,
I think she sold a few but I don't remember what she was asking for them,,, she was such a neat older Italian lady, (I can say that being one myself,,not Italian)we had a blast all day,,,, she NEVER used a pattern I was amazed at her talent!!!
