Hello,
I'm looking for an easy afghan pattern, I started the afghan and 1/4 way thru lost the pattern. It's basically dc 5 in one stitch, skip two st, dc in next, skip two st, 5 dc in next. It makes basic shells, somehow my counting got off, and my shells are off kilter. The pattern was only like a couple of lines long. If anyone knows what this patten is, please let me know, this is my first big afghan and I don't want to mess it up too bad.
Thanks!!!

It doesn't sound too complicated. Does the same row repeat all the way through? Most likely you're either going to have the shells and the dcs stacked in vertical lines, or else they're going to alternate. If they stack, the same row repeats all the way through that section or even the whole afghan. If they alternate, you probably need to start with a half-shell on every other row. How does it look in the part before it drifted off? Can you frog back to that (you know, rip it, rip it...) and go on from there?

Can you remember where you got the pattern? If it was one of the freebies in stores, most of those are also available online from the yarn company that put them out. Having the picture to work from helps a lot, especially when you're getting started.
