Does anybody know where I might get a copy of Annie's Attic Leaflet #87A50 6-point to 24-point Star Afghan? I have looked everywhere and have not been able to find one. I have read some of the older posting and some of them talked about having a copy, but I can't find them now. Please can someone help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I have also been searching with no luck for that pattern. That how I ended up in Crochetville. I did find it on e-bay and tried several times but the price was way too high for me. I contacted Annie's Attic and they said they would past the request on to their products division. Perhaps if enough of us ask they would re run it.

:cheerI have it so send me your address via PM and I will send it to you.

Not my favourite star because it involves breaking the yarn a lot as you add the extra points to the star.
I decided I like the RR much better.

Have fun.

If you don't want to go thru all the hassle of trying to get the pattern you could try a couple different things.

- you could make your own little sq's and put them in the valleys' ot
- you could try lady linoleum's method of adding points.

If you have your heart set on that specific pattern - I would take up Aggie May's offer. :)

I really like that pattern too. I have been looking at E-bay and the price always ends up way too high. You know, a lot of requests from people got Annie's to reissue the Cathedral Window Afghan as a leaflet. The reissue is already sold out and they are in the next printing.

I'll bet if enough of us got together and started an e-mail campaigne they might re-issue this one too. It's worth a try.

I can't help but feel sorry for all the people who spent $75 or more on E-bay for the Cathedral Window. If I had I would be beating my head against the wall.

Hi LeslieG. I was thinking the same thing after I saw the Cathedral Window come back. I already sent two e-mails to Annie's Attic about it. I'm on board with that campaign to get them to reissue it. After seeing the same couple of people selling the pattern on e-bay I was no longer interested in buying because I'm wondering if it's a copy, besides the fact I will not pay $25 and up for a pattern.

Hey Pat,

I just sent my first e-mail to Annie's Attic. Let's all bombard them with mail until they re-issue it. :lol Of course, it's not like I don't have anything to work on.:rolleyes I just bought the Cathedral Window Afghan from them and am trying out color combinations as the purple just will not go in my house.

I am running into a problem with my DH. He just loves the purple and I can't see putting that amount of work into it with colors that will absolutely clash. I do like the look of the purple, but, I'm the one who has to do it. :D

Besides, I have about umpteen other projects to do ( as you can see from my sig), so I can afford to wait on this one and the Cathedral Window. :crocheting

That's cool news.
I have the orginal pattern but can't get my hands on it as it's across the country in storage.

I belong to canadiancrochet Yahoo group and there's one on there. I don't know if it's the exact same one but it does have lots of points. You'd have to join to access it. Zaraliz

Well July will be about right. July of 2010 for me. I have so many projects to do it will probably take that long to get to the 6 Point Star. :lol I've already done a similar project by adding Granny Squares to a RR.
The problem now is remembering how I did it. It was a sort of spur of the moment thing.

I just found that they did bring it back as of July 3, 2008. I found this link (http://www.tamemymind.com/blog/2008/06/27/looking-for-the-sixpointed-star-afghan-crochet-pattern-by-sandra-j-smith-leaflet-87a50.php)for the article. It mentions that it is going to be available on e-patterns for $5.99. I hope this helps!

I just bought it on the Annie's Attic site myself. I had actually bid on one on ebay quite awhile ago and got notified by ebay that the seller was making illegal copies and that all bids were being removed. I was glad they caught it before I got it! :eek

I got the Cathedral Rose one at the same time. I figure once the weather gets cold those two ought to keep me busy till the tulips pop pup! :D
