I am in the middle of making a baby blanket, and the pattern has just disappeared. Can anyone help me?

I have no idea who published the pattern. It was in a small 5.5" x 8.5" sized booklet. This particular pattern is knitted, although I believe some of the patterns were crochet--they were all baby items.

This particular baby blanket was 9 blocks (made in 3 strips) with a cable stitch type border. Four of the blocks were white stockinette stitch, and 5 of the blocks were blue, also in stockinette stitch, but with the pattern of a horse in the middle of the block. The blocks alternated (blue, white, blue on the bottom and top, and white, blue, white in the middle).

We have searched the room I was working in repeatedly to no avail. The only thing I can imagine is that it somehow fell into the garbage can and I didn't notice it when I emptied it (and the garbage was picked up yesterday).

There is no way I can recreate this pattern on my own, especially the border. Has anyone out there ever seen this pattern? I'm desparate!!!!

Sorry, I've not seen it. Is it a modern booklet? Are the other baby items blankets or layettes or toys?

Was the horse a normal horse or a rocking horse? The was a Leisure Arts blanket with a rocking horse on it...I think?

can you post a pic of what you have completed so far? It might jog someone's memory

I just remembered--I think the name of the pattern was Pony Blocks. It is not a rocking horse (no rocker) and I would guess the book was printed in the 1980s or later (it was inherited from my sister when she passed away).

I will post a picture if someone will tell me how it is done. I have tried copying and pasting but nothing happens.

Thanks for your replies so far.

Thank you for all your help. I also posted my problem on knittinghelp and someone posted a link to a shop that has the book for sale, so it is ordered and hopefully I can soon get back to work on the blanket.

Thanks again for your help.
