Last winter I decided to make a hat for my husband. After his confirming that he was not allergic to wool, I crocheted the "thick warm crocheted Winter Hat" from www.crochetgarden.com (http://www.crochetgarden.com). I used Bartlett 2 ply heather worsted and (on the second try) a size J hook and ended up with a very nice hat.:)

After wearing it a few times, my husband said it was awfully itchy, and you know the hat I was making for my brother was so nice and soft....:ohdear
So this year, in his Christmas stocking, my husband found a new hat (same pattern and hook size) made from TLC Heather, in Mulberry.

Happy hubby, happy me!:hug
