this is Aran vest pattern from lionbrand.i made it for father.he wears XL size.its my second attempt.the first one i made for him was my size :blush
that time i didnt have any concept of guage :)

You did a great job. That gauge thing can get you can't it? I remember one of my first sweaters turned out big enough for the Jolly Green Giant's sister. It was too funny!

That looks great! My boyfriend recently requested I make him a vest, so it's great to see pictures like this and get ideas. You did a great job!

I just finished one for my dad and it's drying in the kitchen. He feels the cold badly and I made it from Shetland wool so it should be cosy. Zaraliz
ps I sent the vest to my dad and he went all round the nursing home to show it off. He's very pleased it's so warm. Zaraliz

Looks sharp. I wish we had more men's patterns available to us. I usually take the women's designs and try to convert and masculinize (??? my own word) them.
