The Museum of Arts and Design, along with the NYC Crochet Guild and the Craft Yarn Council of America is sponsoring "A Day of Sculptural Crochet" this coming Saturday, March 13th from 11 to 4 p.m. From 11 to noon, sculptor Norma Minkowitz will make a slide presentation with a lecture. Then from 1 to 4, the NYCCG will teach ongoing mask workshops with patterns provided by the NYCCG and materials generously provided by the CYCA. There will be 6 areas: Sit and Crochet, Beginning Crochet, Plastic Mask with Finger Chains, Easy Mask, Harder Mask and Hardest Mask (with more creative names of course!). Arlene Mintzer and Jacqueline Henderson will be among our volunteer teachers. (Check your "Design Crochet" books if the names don't ring a bell. Or your "Woman's Day Book of Designer Crochet.") This is all free with museum admission. The museum is at 40 W 53rd St in Manhattan.
