View Full Version : Whew! "On The Side Cardi" is finally finished!

After running out of yarn (twice!) and about a hundred or so ends to weave in, I've finally finished my cardi:

I just posted details (yarn, pattern used, opinions about both!) on my blog. I'm just happy to have it complete so I can move on to other projects with a clear conscience. :hook

Although I do wish the weather was cooler so I could enjoy wearing it now! :(

That is beautiful! What yarn did you use? I saw that patter in Interweave Crochet, but didn't have the patience to try it! Good for you! :cheer

Hi Janet! I used Elsebeth Lavold's Cotton Patine - probably for the last time, though. It's terribly splitty & not much fun to crochet, even though the finished sweater drapes wonderfully. Ah, well - live & learn!:hook

WOW! Impressive! I want one! :D Actually I have some of my mom's old books with nice cardi/sweater patterns. I think I'll at least start that after my brother's wedding afghan. good job! :jumpyay

Bron, what a gorgeous sweater! I am inspired! Truly, seeing this has given me an idea on how to finish a sweater I have almost finished, but was stumped on. THANKS!

Your blog and all your FO's are amazing and inspiring. I am so glad you like the slip stitch seam. This is what I was doing on my UFO and I am so glad to have that method validated by someone as experienced as you!

Keep up the great work!
