Edging pattern help.

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knew of an edging (for a baby blanket) that is cowboy-ish. I was thinking maybe like a horseshoe shape? I don't want to do fringe because it's going to a new born and I'm afraid that would be too dangerous if they got it in their mouth. Any help is appreciated!
