I love the knit feather and fan lace pattern. But I prefer to crochet.
Does anyone know of a crochet lace pattern that looks like this? I haven't found any in my searching so thought I would ask here as you folks seem to think of places that I don't.
thanks!

I tried the feather and fan in crochet on the website you are talking about and I think the instructions are wrong, because the DCD stitch does not add up. If someone can explain it better to me, I would appreciate it.

I just tried a swatch. I would rewrite/expand the DCD instructions to read as follows (my changes in red):
DCD = double crochet decrease. YO, Insert hook into next st, pull up a loop, and then insert hook into the next st, pull up a loop, (4 loops on hook), yo, pull through 3 loops, yo, pull through last loops
Row 3 also has an error, it should be sc in each dc, not in each sc.
I agree with you that the count is off. I end up with 5 extra stitches in row 1 after the last repeat of dc+ch1. I should have 7 stitches: enough to do the last repeat of 3 DCD (6 stitches) and 1 to put an ending DC, to match the beginning DC at the other end.
It seems to me that it should work if you worked a multiple of 20 + 1, instead of 18 + 1.

Thanks for helping me with the DCD stitch. Tried working the pattern with 20 + 1 multiples and it did not work. The stitches used for the pattern is 18 plus the 1 at the beginning and 1 at the end, plus the extra on the chain, which made it 18 + 3 multiples. It took me a while to figure it out, but that works. Again thanks for your help.
