I know I saw a Hello Kitty square online some where. I wanted to make it but I can't find it any where. It was a free pattern as far as I know, but if not I'd be happy to pay for the pattern. Does any one know where it is? Thank you.

The SaucyLouise.com site has some Hello Kitty patterns (to buy, since they are licenced), they advertise here at Crochetville. Good luck

Hello Kitty is a trademarked and copyrighted character. In order to legally distribute patterns featuring the Hello Kitty image, the pattern designer/publisher has to make licensing arrangements with the owner of the trademark/copyright (Sanrio Corporation).
These licensing arrangements are very expensive, which is why you'll find very few officially licensed patterns. The ones carried by Saucy Louise (look for the site in one of our rotating banners) are published in Japan and licensed in accordance with Japanese trademark/copyright law.
Some people do choose to distribute patterns like this without entering into the appropriate licensing arrangements, taking a chance they won't get noticed and sued for damages (or at the very least sent a cease and desist letter by the company's attorney for infringing upon their rights). However, Crochetville's guidelines state that we don't allow links to sites that distribute patterns without stating they have licensing arrangements in place. We also don't allow any hints or other sort of discussion/information about how to find any such patterns, so that we can't get in trouble for contributory trademark/copyright infringement. This applies whether it's via a post, PM, or email sent through the forum.
The above paragraph explains why you won't find any Hello Kitty patterns posted here for free or any kinds of links to free ones either.
