This isn't crochet, but it's beads......
Surfing around looking for something else today I come across this:

Are those not cool? I love them! Makes me want to try my hand at beading!

:eekwow! those look a little too real to me. I am terrified of spiders and if I was wearing that as a pin and forgot I had it on...could get ugly.
please let us know if you try them, I would love to see your pictures. plus I think it would make a great craft project for some kids I teach
I realized she only sells the finished spiders and not the pattern. I did find a couple of others

or you can order a kit, this one is not bad http://www.bjcraftsupplies.com/kits/hol-christmas-ornament-kit01.asp
once you had the pattern you would be set.

I love them - I used to make some similar to these - there is a legend about spiders and Christmas trees:
"A Ukranian Christmas tree has a spider and web for good luck - poor people had nothing to put on their tree and woke to find it covered in spider webs that glistened in the morning sun".
I can't remember exactly how it goes, but I have a beaded spider I hang on my tree every year.

those are cool. I'll have to see if I can make one up. Dont think it would be to hard.
Oh and at least it was on a crocheted doily. :)

LOL I am terrified, too. So I am surprised I find them so appealing, but they are so cool. I could picture hanging some from a tree for Halloween. Thanks for those links :)

I just saw some spider bead kits on e-bay that look a lot like the ones she makes. I would like to order one of tanya's finished spiders, but would also like a kit to learn to make them myself.

I was looking for a spider to put one the spiderweb afghan I did for my sister for xmas. I think her 2 year old grandson would get a kick out of it too...he loves any kind of bug. This spider might just be perfect!!

I saw some spiders really similar to these at a recent craft show. They came with a poem about the Christmas spider. I had never heard of it before. They are really pretty though.
