When I was a little girl my great grandmother made me two bed dolls. They were centered over a "cool whip" container, so you could put your pj's in it. The pattern has long since been gone. I would love to find it. I have three little girls that I would love to make them for. If you have one or know where I can get one I would love to know. Thank you in advance.

That sounds like a very interesting doll! I don't know where you could find the pattern but TD Creations may sell the dolls you're looking for. www.TDCreations.com Could you make up the pattern from memory or maybe adjust some pattern to fit? That sounds like a really great idea and if you ever get one made I hope you post a pic for us!

I believe the pattern you are talking about is called a treasure box doll or trinket box doll. I have purchased many of these patterns from AA and other companies also. You can most likely purchase a pattern and then adjust it to your memory of your doll. hope this helps. I paid about 7.00 for my pattern book.

Your doll dress is beautiful! The peach color goes great with the doll.

That came out beautiful! So the doll isn't connected to the cool whip tub, the dress is. I was wondering how that worked. Thanks so much for sharing your pics with us. :)

The doll body is stitched to the lid. and the bottom of the dress is attached to the bottom. You can open it and put pj's in it!!

That is a great memory. My grandmother made something like this for me when I was young. I wish I still had it now as she has long passed. Thanks for bringing back this wonderful memory.
