Button questions...

What does a button do? Where do I put it?
How do I get or make a button? I would like to learn to do this myself. I
think I understand that you can put a button for say...Crichetville on my blog and it would link the user to the Crochetville site. But a button for my site...where do I use that?

Making a button for your own site: others can take it & use it to link to your blog or site. You make it in a graphics program, upload it to photobucket or somewhere else, put the button & link in your template---then others can use it to go to your site to see your crafts or whatever you post.

First thing you need is to play around with graphics in paint or another graphics program. I use PhotoImpact. Once you make a button, get a free account at photobucket or another storage place on the web. Then we can guide you on how to put it in your blog.
