For my first project I just picked up the 24g craft wire from Walmart but since we do not have anywhere else to buy it, I will have to go online. My husband found this http://www.parawire.com/ and I was wondering if anyone uses this wire and if this will work for Bead wire crochet ?
Thanks

There's a small chain of beading stores near my work and my home -- Beadazzled. I just looked at my last purchase from them -- it was 28 gauge non-tarnish silver, 15 yards (45 feet) and cost $4.99. It looks great worked up. I looked at the online source and they're charging $4.55 for the same item, so the store's markup isn't bad at all. Look for S-10 on this page.

It appears the website you're looking at charges $5.50 for 200 feet of non-tarnish silver wire 28 gauge. That's about 4 times the wire for the same price!

Hello ... I also use artisticwire company. But there is a company called softflex and they are in CA. They charge $4.80 (i think) for 30 yards... I was shocked when I saw the yardage... Here is the link https://www.softflexcompany.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=Artistic+Wire:26+Gauge It's worth a look!
But you can practice with most any kind of wire... stereo wire, phone wire, had a customer from my last show tell me she used the wire from an old electric blanket... LOL Now that's recycling! lol
But I agree with MaryPat... non-tarnishing silver is AWESOME to work with. I use 26 gage. All depends on what you are making... 28 gage is to fine for my Braidlets because I pull on the wire and sometimes snap it in two. LOL Good Luck crochetqueen! Cari

I do other jewelry making crafts as well and I get most of my supplies from :
http://www.firemountaingems.com
thier prices are really good when you order more items. what I love about that is you do not have to order all of the same item to get multiples pricing. everything on thier site counts twards the order size. and believe me it is easy to find 50 items for me to get a great price lol
