Hello! I'm looking for an old fashioned triangle shawl pattern to make my grandma a shawl for her birthday. I've tried all of the websites like lionbrand, caron, berroco, paton, crochetpatterncentral, about.com... they all seem to lack a certain feature. I'm looking for a pattern that isn't too holey/lacy, but still has a nice stitch pattern. Kinda like something our great great grandmothers would have had; practical, yet lovely. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful. Thanks bunches!

Not sure if this one is exactly what you are looking for, but it looks like it might be on the right path:

Are you looking for a triangle shawl or something more stole-like?

I use www.shawlministry.com for the shawl ministry we have in my hometown.
This (http://www.shawlministry.com/Crochet%20Patterns/st_bartholomew_crochet_pattern.htm)
is a lovely pattern.
