Star Blanket?

Anyone know how I could adapt a round ripple to a 5 Point star? My good friend is having a baby end of July and I want to make a Star shaped blanket for her baby shower at the end of May. I need to get started NOW though!

I gotta get the yarn too! Lt Blue, Navy, and Brown :)

My very favorite starghan pattern (http://yarn-diva.blogspot.com/2006/03/free-star-shaped-afghan-pattern.html) is by our very own Yarn Diva. It doesn't have holes in the middle of the blanket.
