We built a puppet stage for my Sunday Schoolers and I want to make some hand puppets (ones with mouths that open and close) I've searched for patterns and haven't found anything that doesn't cost a lot. I'm on a VERY tight budget and am using yarn that was given to my Sunday School / VBS fund so I'm hoping someone has a pattern they can share or can point me in the right direction...
People are preferrad over animals but at this point I'll take whatever I can get...

Thanks

Cariann

:)Hi Cariann

These are not crochet but if you can get someone to donate a bag of tube socks this is a terrific (FREE) site for sunday school puppets and ideas

Here is a free Sock Monkey puppet link....you can crochet the mouth open..

Thanks for the links... I've been playing with creating my own patterns or working without a pattern this week... I'm getting the hand of it a little.. I think I can figure out how to create the mouth plate and add it to a creature... Just have to find a "doll" pattern that is big enough to convert to a puppet.
