I want to make a hat for my 7 month old son that looks like a soccerball (daddy plays soccer). Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,

This one is knit, but based on the concept, but you might be able to crochet a soccer ball hat from it:

There's a graph of a soccer ball (sorry can't do the link here, so go to Crochet Partners Central (http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/search.php) for the link to the pattern). Maybe this might work? Or you can use the graph to create hexagons and make one...

Here is a site with some sports related hats, it might be helpful. You might need to down size for a child though:

You could maybe look up a patter for hexagons and connect them to form a hat
