Ive been searching through the show and tell, and im soo impressed with everything i have seen! Everyone is soo great at this!
I'm always looking for some special meaningful gifts, because i believe a gift thats made has a little more edge than a gift thats purchased! I want to make my mom something for mothers day!
And i would like for it to be something very sophisticated, so things maybe like purses/totes...maybe a quick afgan or footed lapgans with the pockets you can put your feet in?? something impressive, i want her to be abled to show it off, because what mom isnt good at showing off something their kids have put time into:think!?!Right!! :D
Ive been trying to figure out a certain purse pattern, but with me its usually trial and error! I'm kinda busy on the weekdays so preferably something that i could get done right before mothers day!?! And every spare moment i have im crocheting! Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!!!!! :manyheart

Thanks for everything!!
And good luck on your current projects!!!

What about a scarf? That's what I"m making my mum for Mother's Day. I sent her to the Scarves page on Crochet Pattern Central and had her choose the one she liked best. She chose this one called Millicent: http://traceyscrafts.blogspot.com/ I think it's one of the prettiest scarves I've seen and very unusual. It's somewhat dressy and fancy too so Mum figures it's something she can wear out in the evening. I haven't started making it yet so I'm not sure on the difficulty level but I'm looking forward to starting it.

I'd probably hedge away from a blanket as they do seem to take awhile. I had the bright idea to make one for my step dad when he's in hospital (day before Mother's Day) and I'm crocheting almost every spare minute of the day trying to get it done within the next week. (Needless to say my hands are killing me now!)

Not sure how much help this is but good luck with what you decide to do! I'm sure your mum will appreciate it no matter what!

what about a shawl? seraphina is pretty and if you make it with a large hook it is SUPER quick and light n lacy. and the one that I have seen a lot of lately is a rectangle I think it is "eve" but not positive.
