Money is a bit tight this year (isn't it always?) and I'm making gifts for Mother's Day. I'm working on a great granny square based bag for my grandmother (the main page is in German, but it's on Ravelry if anyone that's on there too wants the link). It's very cute and is working up fast, which is good since Mother's Day is this weekend. The problem is I also need to come up with something to do for my mom, stepmom and MIL. Mom and stepmom I could make one of these bags for if I needed to, but MIL doesn't carry a purse. None of them are really into shawls, and we live in Alabama so afghans are already packed away for the year. If anyone has any ideas for something that's fast but pretty (and free!) I'd really appreciate it. I'm going to continue browsing through the old posts here, and the links on Ravelry and Crochet Pattern Central in the mean time.
