When you complete your project or when the games are over, please let us know if you received a medal. Percent completion is to be determined by yourself on the honor system.

SPECIAL NOTE: Please post to this thread ONLY when ALL items listed in your challenge in the Athletes thread (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=78221) have been completed. Please do not post general comments in this thread; please use all the other threads in this forum to post notes to each other. :)
(All general discussion posts will be deleted from this thread without notice, as they make it hard for me to keep track of the completed challenges.)

Gold: Project is 100% complete
Silver: Project is 95-99% complete
Bronze: Project is 90-94% complete
Honorable Mention: Project is 80-89% complete

Medals (buttons for your blog or web site) will be posted here at the conclusion of the games.

We will keep an updated list of all medal winners below:

SPECIAL NOTE: Craziebunny has also been awarded a Gold Medal due to special extenuating circumstances. She was without internet access and couldn't post herself that she had completed her challenge (10 star ornaments and 10 snowflake ornaments). A friend posted for her, but stated only that she had completed the snowflakes with no mention of the star ornaments, so craziebunny did not meet eligibility requirements for the prize drawing at the time we conducted the drawing.

I finished my H. bag on Aug 11, 2008 and originally posted it in the Team Accessories thread.
Okay I finally finished the bag and I am waiting for photobucket to upload the pictures of the bag before straps and lining and the finished project. I honestly did not think I would actually be able to do the bag this fast. But the marathon Sunday night helped.

Now I need to post the :photo here and untangle the mess at the end of this skein.

the stitch works up really fast( and i have a lot of time to crochet) but it took me a while to deal with the " join -as -you- go" aspect, thankfully the evenings have been cool enough for me to deal with the 'ghan on my legs- in fact it felt pretty good last nite!
with my challenge afghan finished i will make some scarves for the Special Olympics to stay in the "games " mode!

I know everybody's excited about finishing the items that are just a PART of their challenge. :clap But since there are about 235 of you and only 1 of me, can I please ask that you only post in THIS thread once you've actually completed your entire challenge as shown in post 1 in the Athletes thread?

Otherwise, I'm not going to be able to keep up and I know I'll end up missing things and not giving some people the medals they deserve! :eek

So please post here only after you've completed your entire challenge, at least before the games are over. Once the games are over, you're then welcome to post your final update in this thread and let us know how much of your project you did or did not complete.

I can not believe I was able to finish all my projects already.
Then again, being on bed rest most of the time and having your DD go on a last minute vacation leaving you all alone gives you plenty of time to crochet.
Since I finished so early, I will continue to make scarves for charity, along with squares.

Here are the pictures of my finished projects:

I cannot believe I finished mine!!! WOO-HOO! After many rounds of frogging and battling with 3 different strands of thread at once it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! In the end I opted not to do the sleeves because once I put it on and realized that the overhang of the shoulders came down to almost my elbows it would be silly to do sleeves (since I would have only made sleeves to the elbow anyway!) Like almost every other item I have made that requires a closure, I opted not to do a button and instead leave it alone and use a pin from my jewelry box. Everytime I do buttons, my crochet projects tend to stretch with time and the buttons aren't always in the right places and such so for me this is working the best.

Without further ado, here are the pics:

(P.S. Please forgive the unflattering pics. UGH! My DH always takes them at the worst possible angles!)

:( I'm out of the running! I was moving furniture at my brother's and smacked my funny bone while trying to nudge a door open. [there was nothing 'funny' about it!] I can only crochet a few rows before it gets too sore to keep going. Good thing I was entered as an individual and won't hurt any team standings.

Crocheted entirely while wearing a wrist brace for my tendenitis (Mispelled) LOL. It is 9 rows of 7 blocks across. I used the Fox's Young at Heart square pattern with a border on each square and simple granny's.

I hope the patriotic colors don't turn people from other countries off but I wanted to show my patriotism in a small way during the games.

Well I finished my wrap and hat 2 days ago. It has been a marathon week at work. Lots of people "needing" massages. The camera is SOMEWHERE......... I will post pics probably Saturday when I get a day off. But man oh man am I ready for this week to be over with.

But I am DONE with one holiday gift........... now do I want to keep it meself or give it to the sister in law? Hmmmmmmmmm I really really like this wrap but then I would have to figure out something else for her and I don't want to make another so soon. Decisions decisions.............

Another completed project for Team Wearables!!Isn't is a great feeling to set a goal for yourself and complete it!!?? I never would have thought I'd be able to make a pair of socks I could actually wear that looked like something I could wear! And, I never thought I'd get DD's sweater pieced together. But, here they both are! Thank you for all of the encouragement to push me to do what I set out to do. The challenge was great and "Getting 'er Done" feels AWESOME!!

I am giving myself a SILVER medal. I know that I have 97% completed on the ghan for my nephew but I still need to complete 2 initial squares but she still won't tell me what the name is going to be until the baby arrives in September. So I know I won't be able to finish the ghan in time for the closing ceremonies. So SILVER it is! Thanks for this challenge! It was a Lot of fun! :hugOH and I can't post pictures yet, the camera is already packed for our move to Arizona! I'll see what I can do with the cell phone camera!

I managed to complete my baby blanket by midnight on Saturday, but found it impossible to load it onto photobucket. For some reason my account is hanging, and not opening. This has never happened before, so I don't know what to do about it. You can imagine how bitterly frustrated I feel that this should have happened on the one occasion when posting on time is crucial.
Considering the effort I had made to get it finished on time, despite all the initial hurdles, I can only take this as a lesson that people in Third World countries should not attempt technology-dependent activities.

This afghan is the Twilight Tapestry afghan in the Great Big Crochet Afghan Book by Needlecraft. I used variegated green/brown, off-white, and dark brown chenille. It is so soft and cuddly!

Wow I can't believe I finished my 2 RR lapghans that I set my goal to do. The time is almost here and I can't believe I made it. I would post pictures, but the digital camera is in Afghanistan with DH so please forgive. I am sure Sissie will post pictures once she receives them in the mail.

So I got the Gold. I am kinda proud of myself and I am Proud of everyone that particiapated and completed their projects to go for any medal available.

I already posted in team unofficial, but I'll post here as I'm not sure how to medal myself.
I completed what I had of the pattern for my bagdelna bear. I seem to be missing the arms. I did the rest of it, somehow until I started to look at my project just a little while ago it didn't occur to me that she needed arms?!?
Since I am missing part of the bear, and technically it's because I'm missing part of the pattern, I'm going to claim either a silver or bronze... I'm not sure how to medal, so I'll leave that up to the judges. I'm happy with what I got done, I just have to find the pattern for the arms, to complete her when I get there.

I have about 8 rows to do on the lapghan and the border. I would say that is an Honorable Mention. It is really a GOLD to me! I said I was signing up hoping it would motivate me to get it finished so I can give it at Christmas. And it did! I would never have gotten this much done without the Crochet Games of Ancient Greece.

Everyone who has posted before me in this thread is eligible for the prize drawings. Anyone who posts after me is not eligible for the prize drawings, although you may continue to tell us your medal status and snag a medal button when they're available.

Figured out the problem: I have to use the old uploader on photobucket for whatever reason..Here's my Challenge link..How do I resize this?? :cheer

Here is step 1: Click on resize and choose the size you want.

Here is Step 2: Click on the size you want, in my example it was medium. A pop up will as if you are sure you want to do this, if so click on yes.

Step 3 takes you to the size of photo that you chose.
