This one was very easy. Much easier than doing the cocoon. It took me a while to figure out what stitch I wanted to use for the lacey part.
If I was to change something, I would decrease the sleeves a bit.
I would not mind trying it in a#3 or #5 thread.

OMG! I want one so bad but I'm so busy I'm almost willing to pay someone to make it for me. I may have missed it, but what stitch did you use on it? You should write a pattern for the way you did this specific one. I'd love to be your tester..hee hee :lol

BecThanks, Bec:)
Pattern is based on FLUFFY PINK SHRUG SCHEMATICS in ORIGINAL PATTERNS
Yarn: Red Heart Cotton Twist, Hook: 4 mm
The body of the shrug is done in alternating front loop/back loop single crochet, followed by a sc row into both loops. Work is NOT to be turned.
The length of the starting chain is about elbow to elbow. My daughter has strong upper arms hence I find that it is a little loose around the elbow/forearm.
The lacey part is:
Row 1-skip 2sc, V stitch (dc, ch2,dc), skip 2 sc to the end of row.
Row 2 -3dc into each V stitch
Row 3 - repeat row1
Row 4 - repeat row 2
Row 5 - V stitch w. inc (dc, ch3, dc) into centre dc of each group
Row 6 - 4dc into each V stitch
Row 7 - Repeat row 5 (V stitch in the middle of 4dc groups)
Row 8 - Repeat Row 6
and so on...
(increase by one chain in V stitch, add 1 dc to corresponding shell)
until you reach desired size. End with a row of shells.
Mine ended with 4-ch V stitch and 6dc shell.
Sleeves:
1 row sc in both loops.
Same as Row 1-4 on body.
Edge: same as body (pattern is completed over 2 shells)
Edging:(on body) (would need to be adjusted to shell-size)
sc, hdc, dc, dc, hdc, sc - to end.
I hope this helps. I don't think this qualifies as an original pattern, so I suppose it is ok to post it here.
You can do this in no time :)

Angelhair, your post is # 36....just scroll up until you reach #28. The numbers are in the top right of the post boxes. Crochetfun edited her original post, hence the reason for being able to tell us which post the pattern is in. The original shrug schematics are in Original Patterns Fluffy Pink Shrug Schematics original post (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6750)

Please let me know if anything is not clear on the "pattern". I'll be happy to help.
