something kinda quick

Hi everyone! I'm in search of ideas rather than patterns. I work in daycare and am wanting to make something for one of the kids there. Why just this one? Well he's having surgery this Friday on his kidneys. He's 2 years old. I was thinking of a little blanket, with my scraps of course, but I'm not sure. Thanks everyone! :)

I made hime the teddyghan! I found it at bevscountry cottage. I made it in blue and yellow. I didn't get any response so I went ahead with it. Thanks. I'll post a picture in show and tell. I also made a pocket angel for his mom. My own pattern.
