Hello all! I am an avid World of Warcraft player and was wondering if anyone knew of a pattern for the Horde or Alliance symbols ( the 2 side you have to choose when playing the game -Alliance=good guys Horde = bad guys). I wanted to make an afghan or scarf even with the Horde sign. I looked all over the internet but can not find a pattern. The symbol looks easy enough to convert to a crochet pattern but I do not know how to go about doing such a thing.
This is the Horde symbol but should be in red HORDE (http://www.gearfuse.com/wp-content/uploads/andrew/6_may07/horde.jpg)
Another one (http://www.jinx.com/world_of_warcraft/patches/horde.html?catid=47)
and Allinace this is all I could find that was easy Here (http://www.jinx.com/world_of_warcraft/patches/alliance.html?catid=47)
I much rather have the Horde. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Wrayne,
You've posted in the right place and there are loads of people who have experience doing something like this. I can't help you, I'm afraid - but it caught my eye because bf LOVES WoW (he's Horde, too). If he thinks he's getting a Horde arghan he can FORGET it haha :lol

Your best bet is to graph it yourself.

You caught my eye with the World of Warcraft post. My DH and I are players too. You might be able to look on the WOW site for the Ally or Horde Signs then graph it like Embress says.
I've thought about doing a WOW graph 'ghan for us too. Good luck, show pics when you are finished.

LOL! I saw this and I don't know why I get surprised when I "run into" other WoW players in different forums! This is great! I too play WoW as well as my boyfriend and thankfully not quite my son yet. He does have a toon on my account, but well... being that I'M on my account he doesn't really get to play! What server are you all on?

I'm horde! Well... I do have one alliance toon, but I don't play her much. I was watching my bf play for about a year before I picked it up. I quit raiding a little over a year ago, but I still play from time to time (at least until WoTLK comes out - then well... I have a couple toons to get to 80 hehe!).

I was going to say something about that scarf too...lol. I play too! I have both ally and horde though...don't really prefer one over the other. My hubby plays too, more ally than horde for him! Can't wait for WoLK!

Count me as one more WoW freak :hi Horde and Ally both. Do we all have our preorder for WotLK? We had to order 4 copies :blush DH runs multiple accounts.

I have my copy of WoTLK pre-ordered at GameStop. When BC came out I sent my boyfriend to go get it at the midnight release, but he won't be here to do it this time.

I am also a WOW freak! I play both sides. (I also play CoH/CoV. And sometimes I play guildwars and final fantasy online.) Yes, I be a gamer....:yes
It would be fab to make a WOW scarf. I have never graphed anything myself but that seems to me to be your best bet.

I'm not sure how I missed this thread when it was originally posted. World of Warcraft logos and images are copyrighted and very likely trademarked. Patterns featuring them cannot be distributed legally unless the designer/publisher has made licensing arrangements or received other permission from the trademark/copyright owner. These arrangements are usually very expensive, which is why we don't see very many patterns for trademarked/copyrighted characters/games/logos/etc. The designer/publisher probably wouldn't be able to sell enough patterns to recover the licensing fees, let alone the time involved in creating the pattern.
Some people choose to distribute unlicensed patterns of various things, but Crochetville's guidelines state that we do not allow links to, discussion of, or hints at how to find any of these patterns that might exist (via post, PM, or email).
Your best bet is to do as others have suggested and find a way to create a graph yourself. As long as you keep it for your own personal use, you should be okay.

Hi! My name is Tristi and I am addicted to World of Warcraft!
Hah but I am not the only one. My DH plays, as well as my brother, sis does when she has the time which hasn't been too much lately between college and work. My DD is addicted too although we don't let her play too often as she is 8.
We mostly play Horde but we have gotten a few Alliance to mid 50's
Will have to play with the graphing thing!
Glad to see you all out there!
PS Have you guys seen the "I am Murloc" video?.... :manyheart it!

I love WoW too!! I play horde mostly, but I like alliance too...
I found an image of the horde logo... Click Here (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v623/JouJou85/hordelogo4.gif)
However, I wasn't so lucky to find one for the alliance... :(
