prayer shawls

ok most of the catholic schools in our area are closing this year. the 1 by me is 1 of them. they are planning on having an auction to help the school that the students will be going to. a friend whom is a member has asked if i would make something to auction off. I'm making a lighthouse afghan [pattern fromcraft designs for you] there is a lighthouse next to the school. I was thinking of making a couple prayer shawls too. my ? is are these used by all religions or not.

Yes...many other religions have Prayer Shawl groups formed at their church. You don't even HAVE to call it a prayer shawl ~ it can just be a shawl.

if you want to make sure people know that they are specially made to give to people in any type of need in mind you could list them as "comfort shawls".
