I'm just wondering if anyone can link some interesting or fun or easy afghan patterns to make I'd be appreciative.

Thanks.

I'm doing this afghan right now. I've changed the yarn. This is the website www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=2529

There are a zillion out there, the problem is making the choice and they the colors, I am currently making one from The Crochet Dude sites, Monet is the name of the pattern, working in varagated yarn, looks nice so far. This site has many many many links to free sites, good luck.

Check www.lionbrand.com. Some good-looking afghans there.

My favorite now is the Brain dead afgan. So simple and it looks so delicate. Love it

I love making afghans. There are so many choices out there too. I tend to go for ones that will keep my interest.

These are some of my favourites that I've made and loved:

Pinwheel blanket. There are a few variations around - one beautiful one is in the Herrschner's Blue Ribbon Afghan's book. I'm making one now using this pattern (http://www.kaleidesigns.com/crochet/patterns/archive/coas008.html)(EmpressBusyBee suggested this in another thread and it works beautifully!).

Krystal's Charity Daisy Square (http://krochetkrystal.blogspot.com/2006/09/daisy-flower-crochet-charity-square.html)

Heirloom Blanket (http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/Crochet/Projects/BabyChild/CTAUG06+Heirloom+Baby+Blanket.htm) (This one is for a baby, but you can size it for an adult just by going up a few hook sizes)

Hexagon Panel Blanket (http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/Crochet/Projects/AfghansThrows/LW1637+Crochet+Hexagon+Panel+Afghan.htm)

The last two are both from Coats and Clark. Check out their website, they have some lovely afghans (http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/Crochet/Projects/AfghansThrows). The pictures aren't always so great though!

I haven't made these but they're on my To Do List:

American Beauty (http://www.angelfire.com/folk/celtwich/Beauty.html)

Sunscape Throw (http://naturallycaron.com/projects/sunscape/sunscape_1.html)

And if all else fails, find a stitch dictionary or something like the 365 Crochet Stitches a Day Perpetual Calendar and make a sampler! Another one-day project of mine :)

Good luck with what you choose to make :)

crochetmagazine.com has a beautiful afghan called sunshine lace afghan.

I'm making it for my neighbor for christmas. It's a really easy pattern and it's shaping up really nicely.
