I found my copy, it's a pdf, and the first page is full of freepatterns.com. Into the pattern along the bottom of the page it references "Annies Favorite Crochet, June 2005"...so maybe it was AA free daily pattern?

If you click the url above an type in kitty doily in the search box you'll come up with a doily with kitties around it ,I don't know if that's the one you want but it's a very nice one
