Good? Bad?

I'm just starting spinning, and so I'm curious. The woman I bought my spindle from recommended this magazine.

Also, anyone know where I can buy it? I may pop into Michaels, but I've typically been unimpressed with their magazine selections.

I got a copy at my local bookstore. You might find some on Ebay, or perhaps on a spin forum (http://www.knittersreview.com/forum/ - check out Spinner Central or try http://knittyboard.com/ and then the Swap-o-rama and request a copy for trade?) or you can check out http://www.interweave.com/spin/default.asp, and see what the mag is like. Look at back issues and then click on a back issue and you can see list of contents. You could even buy a back issue or subscription, but probably better to check it out for free. Each issue varies as to how much I can get out of it. I've never looked at the library, but maybe it's there?

Spin Off is the only magazine I subscribe to, it's been very helpful over the years I have gotten it, I still use information in the back issues. I have been a subscriber since 1987 and got a lifetime subscription a few years ago. The articles and project are well done. They teach alot about different sheep breeds, wheels, spindles and all things fiber related. The projects are inspiring, to see what the big kids are playing with makes me want to join them.

I'd agree with everyone else. SpinOff is a great magazine. I've saved all my back issues and won't part with them.
