As ya'll know, I was working on a birthday gift for the dear lady I told you about from the Crochet World magazine. Well, here it is...simple, yet cozy :) I started with a half granny square and just kept going. I just love granny squares. I can't wait to get it in the mail to her!! Donna

I need to make a couple of those before x-mas as my daughter has 2 grandma-in-laws now, both 76 years young. They could and would use that. Thank you for the idea.:clap

That shawl is beautiful. It's the simple patterns sometimes that make the most beautiful things. That lady will love it, I'm sure. I think it'd look gorgeous done in purples myself :wink
I'm making a pineapple shawl for our pastor's wife as a goodbye gift since they're moving at the end of the month. I'm using Homespun in Candy Apple and it's turning out really gorgeous.

Wonderful thing you are doing. I thought the same thing when I read that letter, that was too bad, and she will certainly enjoy it. I can't wait to see if she sends another letter to the mag! You are very thoughtful. :cheer :c9

Awesome Donna. What a nice thing to do for her. She will love it.
I'm gonna make myself one I think. Thanks for the idea. Would be great to put around my shoulders/arms when I sit and crochet. I sometimes get chilly from the a/c or in the winter (my "spot" is next to the sliding glass doors - gets very chilly sometimes).
