I had it installed by hand as it's my first attempt and I figured I had better control.

Thanks Ally. I just simply created it as I went along. Essentially, just crochet a rectangle to a desired width and double the length. Then fold over.
If you want to do an inset compartment (I did an equal piece) which I just picked up from the middle of the rectangle and then crocheted upwards (just pick up one stitch less on each end).
Then fold over, and sew through the 3 panels. You can then crochet on any embellishments you want.
