I found this UFO of a victorian thread holder that my MIL ? had started. I have made two in the past. So I finished the holder. :cheer
The pattern is from a Fast & Fun Crochet Summer 2000 issue page 18. (This publication is now Hooked on Crochet. I had originally bought a kit from Annie's Attic and the mag. came with the kit.)

I used Susan Bates steel 4 with Susan Bates sonata 301 Daffodil. The holder used slightly over one skein (50g 100% creslan acrylic fiber).

Yes. I like it for the tatting and DMC Cebelia threads. I prefer to use the little 1/2 plastic rings to crochet around instead of the bigger 1 rings. This is because it is less likely a tatting ball will fall out of the hole when it is near the end of the ball.

So pretty! The color is really lovely.
I want to make one, but I fear for my poor eyes, looking at all that detail work. My optometrist would slap me so hard my granny would feel it!

What a cute idea!!! Do yarn fibers migrate to the thread as you crochet or tat?
