I have been putting together some visor beanies and now I want an area at the bottom like this (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=11667782) where you can weave a ribbon cleanly through it.

I want to add this at the bottom of the beanie before the brim. anyone know how to evenly divide that and what stitch goes between?

or do you think she'll just sell that one pattern. I can only find offers in the pack of 3 but I don't have a need to make the other two. Just want to know of a way to place a ribbon clean like that one looks! but I plan to use a different stitch in between that goes over the ribbon.

Thank you!!

In my experience, a ribbon row is usually a row that starts with a double chain with a chain 1 or 2, skip 1 or 2 stitches, then a double chain, continue around to end...it will depend on how big you want the gap to be, and how many stitches you have on the previous row. You can even use a triple crochet instead of a double crochet if you want to use wider ribbon. Hope that helps.

Thank you so much Sami. did you mean double crochet instead of double chain? I don't know what a double chain is ...
If it's double crochet, I think I can probably figure it out on how you described it.

Thanks for taking the time to reply :)

wonderful Sami! thank you, I just finished up the pattern that you posted in the visor beanie thread. I bought it a few weeks ago and thought I would give it a go. So I'm going to try to add that ribbon row and see what it looks like.
