Seeking slipper patterns

They need to be slippers for dummies. lol
Last time I tried this I crochet 8 slippers and did not get a pair the same size out of it.:eek
So I need a pattern that is easy to get both the same size.
I have found some I would like to try but am worried that they well not work out. :hook
Slippers are why I learned to crochet but never been able to make them.
