I purchased a filet cat doily at a flea market. It is the same as the one on this site (http://www.tias.com/11126/PictPage/1922974780.html#images). Does anybody know where to find the pattern. I've looked but haven't found it.

You should be able to count the stitches on the doily you have in order to reproduce it. the direction of the lacet stitches seems to indicate it is started at the top. Lacet how-to http://crochet.about.com/library/blhowtolacet.htm

Unfortunately for filet designers, Kathy's right, they're easy to copy from a photo.

It looks like the pattern was originally a chair back (antimacassar).

Yup it is an antimacassar (chair back cover). I have that pattern.
Mine is from Woman's Day, 9/11/84. I don't have any other info as I tore the photo and the directions out a long time ago and if there was any buyers info, it's now gone.
They do call it AntimaCATssar, maybe that will help if you can't find a copy of Woman's Day.
