hi i had been to michaels lately and found this chenile thick and quick yarn on sale for a dollar...got them in bulk thinking of doing a shawl....but cant decide on a pattern....i did go through the lion brand patterns....any other idea....i was thinking of doing a pillow....like a set of pillows and afghans...will that be good??any patterns or idea...what stitches can i try with it

I've done many afghans with it and they are beautiful. Use a big enough hook and they will be light and airy but warm. Same with shawls -- just be sure to use a big hook. Do some swatching. Use a simple, uncomplicated stitch as the yarn itself is so pretty.

I forgot to say -- there is not much yardage in these skeins so an afghan can get expensive.

i think i have like 9 skeins of 100 yrd each should that be enough for a afghan

I'd go for a shawl. I don't believe that is enough yardage for an afghan.
