Hi,

I'm looking for a pattern that I originally had from one of those free tear off leaflets that are hung by yarn in stores, I think it would be at least 2 years old. Of course I thought I kept it, but I have been looking for it for days and fear I might have thrown it out.

It was for a granny square bag, crocheted in cotton, but was in the shape of a barrel bag that had a drawstring at the top. I think it was shown as a beach bag, had a round bottom, and the granny squares attached around the circular bottom. I can't remember if the squares were all the same size or different sizes....I seem to remember the model in bright colors, and thought it was in sugar N' cream, but after searching the lily site, I can't find it. I'm not sure what brand of yarn it used now.

I've searched all over the internet, for granny square bag, beach bag, barrel bag and totes, cotton bags, etc. but to no avail.

If anyone has this pattern, or has a link to it, I would appreciate you point me in the right direction. Or if you have the original leaflet and no longer have a need for it, please contact me and I would be glad to re-imburse you for your time and postage in sending it to me.

Thanks,

Roberta

Try here http://www.sugarncream.com/pattern.php?PG=acc&PT=c. Also at patons yarn there are a few cute bags made out of squares http://www.patonsyarns.com/pattern.php?PG=acc&PT=c . Hope this helps.

Thanks Boksie and Debbie for the replies, but neither of those bags are it. I've seen them when I did my original searching.

It is shaped like the "Striped Drawstring Bag" from the Flower Power booklet, but it was with granny squares. I think the free leaflet was a precursor to that book when they were just introducing the bright colored cotton yarn. I know I can probably make up the pattern on my own, but I remember the sample made in up in really pretty combination of colors that I would like to copy.

I will keep looking though!
