I am looking for a pattern for a large turtle stuffed for my grandson. Somehow he got the nickname Turtle from his dad. He is only 4 months old.
I have seen the tiny ones, but need one he can hold on to.

Someone here in the 'ville has a Greek Tortoise pattern. I don't recall the name though. You might able to find it if you search Greek Tortoise. I have a turtle pattern, but it's not very big (8 inches or so) and would have to be made "baby safe". PM an address and I'll send you a copy.

I checked CrochetPatternCentral.com and they had a lot show up under the search. Some of them are smaller, but the pattern looks basic enough to just make it bigger as you go. Here's some links:

Good luck! And "Turtle" is an adorable nickname! It'll be really easy to find themed gifts and decorations for him if it sticks.

Oh, you guys are wonderful! DBF really likes turtles for some reason and I was thinking, time permitting, I'd make him one for Christmas! I haven't looked for patterns yet, because I don't know if time will let me. But these are great!

This one is 11" Long and with a hook change you can get it larger.
