Do you guys have any silk spinning tips? What I was spinning last night is actually 50% silk, 50% camel. It's super soft, something I picked up at MD S+W.
I have a sprained ankle but I treadled with both feet anyway -- ow! Heh.
Anyway, I was having problems where basically it was spun very thin and fairly tight (but not overspun, I'm finally getting that under control) and if I accidentally moved up, what I was spinning would touch the orifice opening and break because it was so thin and brittle almost. :blush
Ideally I'd like to spin it a touch thicker, but it doesn't seem to want to be spun any thicker. Heh!
Anyway, any tips or suggestions would be welcome. I've been afraid to try to spin this until last night, and I think it went better than expected, but still not optimal. :)
