I'm doing my second crafts fair tomorrow. It's in Manhattan and it's called Actor Crafts. http://www.actorcrafts.com/ I'm so nervous and excited. There's going to be another woman there selling crocheted stuff and she's really talented. I have so much stuff it's ridiculous. I just have to sell. I don't have room to keep all of it. The amount of time I've spent and money on all the yarn, it's kind of crazy. But if nothing else I know it'll be fun. I've made ponchos, shrugs, cotton hats, flower pins, purses, flip flops and candle holders. Wish me luck!!!!

Thanks so much. I had seen that hat in a boutique for ALOT of money and I just thought I can make that. Sometimes I make stuff just to prove I can. The yarn they had used was more expensive, but my hat was just as nice. (At least in my humble opinion)
Sadly, today did not go very well. I'm veeery disappointed. I put so much time into everything. I love to crochet, and I do it mostly because I love it, but I don't think I can rationalize spending so much time and money on something that I don't make money on. The girl next to me was selling cards made with photos of Manhattan that she had taken. Once the pics are taken, you glue them to some card stock, fold them in half and voila. She sold a ton. I love the idea of doing a crafts fair but don't think crocheting is the answer. I'm blue. :(

I'm sorry to hear the craft fair didn't go well :( I am sure your items were wonderful and heck I would pay for that hat in a heartbeat! I just feel in love with it and I am so not saying that to just make you smile, I really love it! I honestly think it takes a crocheter to truely appreciate what goes into the items we make. Sometimes, people just don't understand. Maybe next time huh?
I am sure I speak for everyone when I say your work is awesome :hook
